In August, Evan and I attended a business conference in Canada. We were joined by Preston and Brady as well. Niagra Falls was beautiful. It was my first time going there. We also headed up to Toronto for a day at the CN Tower and some yummy Japanese food (of course it had to be Japanese)!

Aleeya wears a mask when she sleeps
Aleeya had her tonsils out several months ago but her sleeping problems never went away. She had a sleep study done where she slept in a clinic with sensors all over her head and body. I wish I had a picture of that! The study came back that she still stops breathing even after having her tonsils out. So the doctor said she needed to sleep with a CPAP mask. I thought I could never get her to wear that thing! Thanks to my dad who also wears a mask to sleep, Aleeya now willingly wears a mask everytime she sleeps.
My dad came and stayed with us when Aleeya first got the mask. We had been bribing her to wear it for 10 seconds! That was her record before my dad came. He showed her that he wears one too and they had a mask party!

It has taken some time but now she accepts it. She even said to me the other night "I love my mask!" It has helped her sleep better. The biggest difference we have noticed is that she is a much happier child. We used to call her "grumpy butt!" Now she giggles and laughs all the time. We love the new Aleeya!
