Hope of America

As part of the Freedom Festival in Provo, 8000 students gathered together at Brigham Young University’s Marriott Center, in May, to share what they’ve learned about becoming the “Hope of America.” The chorus sits in the shape of the American flag with students in red, white and blue t-shirts. Treygan and several of his classmates were part of the group. It was very impressive. This video was shot by someone else but it is the same night Treygan performed. The video is very long but at least you get the idea even if you only watch it for one minute.
Thank Goodness for a telephoto lens! It was the only way I could see him!

For the last song, they turned out the lights and each child had a flashlight. It was a cool effect.

Happy Mother's Day!

After a long week at the warehouse, we had a wonderful day of relaxing. Evan and the kids made me a wonderful brunch and gave me fun homemade gifts. Evan bought me a new lens for my camera which I am excited to try out soon. For dinner, Evan's sister invited the family over for a BBQ. The kids had fun playing outside.A little TOO MUCH fun. Kyra fell off the Trampoline and broke her wrist. So we spent the rest of the evening at the ER.
"Mom, why are you taking pictures of me? It hurts!"

Now she is feeling a little better because they gave her lots of painkillers.
Kyra was very brave.
