Apparently the cabinet installer (who has since been fired) did not install the cabinets into a stud. He also didn't use the right hardware. They have come out and fixed all the other cabinets. We are still waiting on the new cabinets and repairs to be done on the appliances that were scratched and the flooring that was damaged.
The good news is I got new, nicer dishes courtesy of the cabinet makers!

It still breaks my heart just thinking about it. It totally freaks me out and it didn't even happen to me! Can't wait to see your new dishes.
NO WAY!! That's terrible!! What a disaster--- I'm so glad your kids weren't anywhere near it either.... I think they owe you more then a set of new dishes too!!
That's crazy! I'm so glad the kids weren't close and that nobody got hurt. And how fun to get new dishes!
