Mickelsen Family Trip Part 1 - Mesa Verde
Mesa Verde is just outside of Cortez Colorado. On our way to New Mexico we stopped in Cortez to visit with our friends Brittney and Jason. It was so good to see them. (sorry no picture) The next morning we headed over to the cliff dwellings of Mesa Verde. It was cool to see how these people lived and created cities in the cliffs. It is amazing that these structures are still standing after all this time.

Great pictures. It is fun to see Hailey and Conrad in the family group :) We visited Mesa Verde as a family when I was a kid. There was a mumified Indian woman named "Esther" on display and she kind of freaked me out. Uncle John loved to tease me that "Esther" was going to come get me. Is that still there? I hope not.
Looks fun! I don't know how Conrad and my parents weaseled in on coming!
That's the first thing I thought when you guys left, "Why didn't I take a picture of all of us together!?!" Dang it. You'll just have to come back. :)
I have always wanted to go there!
