Kyra wanted a late night "girls-only" party for her birthday. We invited several little girls from her school class, our Spanish Fork neighborhood, and a few girls from our new neighborhood. They ate pizza, played games, painted nails, and watched a movie. Kyra really enjoyed this party.

Kyra wanted a "purse" cake. Well I found a purse cake pan on Amazon but it didn't arrive until 3pm (the party started at 5pm). I had everything ready for the party so I could spend the last 2 hours on the cake. While the cake was cooling, I helped Evan and Treygan get ready for a scout campout. Treygan yelled, "mom come quick!" I came out to see the cake on the floor! My naughty but sweet Aleeya decided she wanted some cake and had climbed up the cabinets and pulled the cake off. The party could have been a disaster, but my good friend Lauren came to help with the games and nail painting. (Thanks so much!) She kept the girls busy while I decorated a new cake. It didn't turn out like I had planned because I didn't spend as much time on it as I would have liked.

Then on Sunday we had a family party for little Kyra. Aleeya found the MONEY!

What a fun party. It's fun to see your new home. I think the purse cake is darling.
I can't believe she's 8 years old, your kids are growin' up so fast. I'm glad your friend helped so you could make a new cake. It was super cute, and I had no idea they made purse-shaped cake pans, cool.
