Sareya's First Ice Cream Cone!

Yes you read that right! Sareya had her first Ice Cream cone a few weeks ago. I know I am a terrible mother to deprive my child of one of life's greatest pleasures! Ok here is the story, Kyra is allergic to many things including dairy products so we don't go out for ice cream very much. (if we do it's always Cold Stone so Kyra can have non-dairy sorbet).

However, since the kids have been in school, Sareya gets to run errands with me. We were picking up lunch for Evan at Coney's and Sareya had been so good all day I offerred her an Ice Cream Cone! But she was struggling to eat it. Finally I realized she didn't know how to eat one because this was her first ice cream cone! So I showed her how to eat ice cream on a cone and then of course had to document the event with pictures!

She kept telling me how delicious it was over and over again. Sometimes I wonder what other things I forget to do with the third child!

hahaha! At first I thought the napkin was a scoop of ice cream and I wondered about your teaching skills. :)

I'll bet it's not her last! She looks like she's enjoying it too much!

That poor kid needs more candy and crap to eat!!! If she is ever going to keep up with my kids!

Everett is with me right now, saw the pictures & said, "I want to eat ice cream right now! That's UNFAIR!" Who in the world taught him that word? Thanks for the laugh!

That is so cute! I'm glad she likes ice cream. Don't forget to get pictures of when she eats a dipped cone for the first time. I still have trouble eating that one without it cracking on the other side as I'm eating one side. Pretty difficult even for an advanced ice cream cone eater. ;) (Oh, and is that Shayla who I used to work with at Red Mountain? If so, I'd love her email address.)

I'm sure there are plenty of things we all seem to forget when it comes to teaching and doing new things! That's such a cute story.
